Darjeeling trip from Pune – Via Air

In true Darjeeling, there is no airport. Sixty-seven kilometres from Darjeeling, or roughly three hours by car, lies the closest airport, Bagdogra. After Bagdogra was recently upgraded to the status of a major airport, there are a lot of flights that visit Pune.

Flights with a single stop at Kolkata International Airport (CCU) typically take 6–8 hours to reach the airport, with fares ranging from INR 6,650 to INR 8,000 per person on average.

How to book a car that will take you to Darjeeling

You will first need to bargain a lot if you choose private automobiles over shared ones. The drivers first quote outrageous prices, but if you haggle hard enough, you will eventually get a good deal. Car prices typically increase during the tourist season, although they are significantly lower off-season.

You must pay the fare at the counter and get a slip back when you rent a pre-paid taxi. Depending on the season, there can be a variety of cars to select from.
