A proper airport does not exist in Darjeeling. The closest airport is in Bagdogra (airport code: IXB), 67.5 km away from Darjeeling. It takes around three hours to go there by automobile. Delhi now has several flights connecting it with Bagdogra, as it was recently upgraded to a major airport.
