Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrive Leh
  • Enjoy the flight into Leh, the capital of Ladakh, experiencing as you fly over the dramatic regions of the Himalayas, the Great Himalayan, Zanskar, Ladakh and the Karakoram Ranges
  • On your arrival at the Kushok Bakula Rimpochhe Airport, Leh (11562 ft) - the land of brave hearts, you will be greeted by our representative who will guide you to your transfer to your hotel for check in
  • Due to sudden arrival at high altitude of Leh you are advised to rest the entire day in order to acclimatize to the conditions
  • Lunch & dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 2 :
Monastery Tour in Leh
  • After breakfast, proceed to visit the Indus Valley Monastery tour including Shey, the ancient capital of Ladakh and the Sindhu Ghat
  • Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, visit to Rancho's School or the Druk Padma Karpo school
  • Return to the hotel for lunch & dinner.
Day 3 :
Nubra Valley - Leh (145 km / 5 hrs)
  • Following an early breakfast, we go over Khardung-la-pass, the world's highest motorable road at 18,380 feet, to reach Nubra Valley. Situated between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas, Nubra Valley lies to the north of Ladakh
  • Take a look at Samstaling Monastery
  • Sand dunes at Sumur
  • Register at the camp or resort.
  • Enjoy your camping trip this evening
  • Head back to the camp or resort for supper
Day 4 :
Leh to Nubra Valley (190 km, 7 hours)
  • After breakfast at the Camp, proceed to visit the Diskit Monastery and the Sand Dunes at Hunder where you can enjoy a Camel Safari (on your own) on a double hump Bactrian camel.
  • You can rest and relax in the afternoon or take a walk to the local market.
  • Enjoy your dinner at the hotel.
Day 5 :
Pangong Lake - Leh (145 km / 5 hrs)
  • Following an early breakfast, we go via the Changlangla Pass at 5486 metres in around 145 minutes to reach Pangong Lake.
  • Pangong Lake is a long, narrow interior drainage basin that is over 130 km long and just six to seven km broad at its widest point. It is located at an elevation of 14,000 feet (4,267 m).
  • It is divided in half by the international boundary between China and India. Savour the countryside against the backdrop of the lake; it's unusual to feel so connected to the natural world and surroundings, and the view is truly breathtaking.
  • It's a free evening.
  • Savour a regional meal at your campsite.
Day 6 :
Leh to Pangong Lake (145 km / 5 hrs)
  • After breakfast, enjoy a gorgeous morning spent by the lake admiring its beauty.
  • Later, you take a journey back to Leh and stop at one of the most impressive and well-known monasteries, Hemis.
  • The remainder of the day is yours to spend as you like.
  • Have fun at the hotel's supper.
Day 7 :
Leh - Alchi (65 kms / 3 hrs)
  • Following breakfast, you will head to the Indian Army-built Hall of Fame museum.
  • Deeply nested in the Himalayas, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib was constructed in 1517 to commemorate the arrival of Guru Nanak Dev by the Lamas of Leh.
  • We also encounter the Magnetic Hill, which defies gravity.
  • From Nimoo, observe the meeting point of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.
  • On the way, a packed lunch will be provided.
  • Continue your drive to Alchi, which is located 65 miles from Leh in the desolate Indus River valley among mountains.
  • Rafting is an optional activity that passengers can request at an extra expense.
  • Make your way back to Leh for a hotel supper.
Day 8 :
Depart Leh
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel on your final morning in Ladakh before heading to the airport to catch your flight home and bring back treasured memories of fascinating Ladakh.
